These ledged and braced cottage doors from only £205.00! + vat are traditional design handcrafted from the finest solid Oak timbers (not veneered) featuring natural defects like knots, mineral deposit staining, and a variation of grain and colour to create an authentic rustic look. These doors enhance the look of; period properties, farm houses, barn conversion, and cottages throughout Royal Albert Dock. This range of internal doors add charm and character to many types of traditional properties. Suffolk style latches or rim mounted door furniture are best suited to this style of door, a lock block is supplied to mount the latch or lock.

Ledged & Braced Cottage Oak Doors

Ledged & braced cottage Oak doors are suitable to be cut down to accommodate the non-standard door frames sizes found in many period properties in Royal Albert Dock. Featuring random width tongue and grooved planks, and glued and nailed ledges that extend to the edge of the door that allow the fitting of standard butt hinges if required. The bracing pack is supplied separately and will need to be cut to size, bracing should be fitted, so they point up and away from the hinges to help support the weight of the door and to maintain aesthetics.
