Privacy handles feature a thumb-turn that once engaged prevents the handle from operating the latch, an emergency override function on the outside of the handle can be operated with a coin or similar.

The Victorian privacy lever handle features scroll levers mounted on a rectangular back-plate that measure approximately 37mm wide by 110mm high, it is supplied with a 2.1/2 inch tubular latch with a 45mm backset and a 25mm wide by 57mm long face plate, and the brass-ware pack includes two 3 inch hinges.
