Reproduction Antique Black Indicator & Emergency Release Latch Bolt
This premium UK quality traditional antique reproduction hand forged bathroom & WC indicator latch from the Tudor collection in a superior antique black finish is hand crafted from malleable iron, and the perfect choice for cottage style and period properties.
This reproduction antique door bolt features a round 'vacant-engaged' indicator 68mm diameter with a coin operated emergency release function with three face fixing screws. The reversible latch bar with button handle is 83mm long with a maximum projection from the door face of 38mm, the mounting plate with latch bar stop is 62mm high by 30mm wide with 45mm screw centres. The keep is 63mm high by 20mm wide with 49mm screw centres. The 7.5mm square connecting spindle is suitable for doors up to 44mm thick, thicker doors can be accommodated with longer spindles. Conventional slot headed screws are supplied for a authentic traditional look.
PRO TIPS: Use a spare hardened steel screw to ensure the drilled pilot holes will accept the slotted head screws with out deforming the heads (especially important in aged timber, oak, and other hardwood's).
When fitting to timber doors, make sure any bare wood exposed by cutting or machining is properly sealed with high quality solvent based paint or wood-stain to prevent any moisture ingress that may lead to further issues.
