This metal worktop butt joint from Design Hardware features a polished aluminium finish that coordinates with many kitchens. This joining trim reduces time and simplifies installation when butt joining of worktops in a straight run.

Worktop butt join trims are aluminium profiles designed to cover and seal the join in a straight run of worktops, they feature a 19mm wide by 1.2mm thick cover strip with a profiled end matched to the worktop, they cover the join on the top surface and wrap around the front edge profile covering any imperfections up to 8mm from the central location of the trim. The jointing trims are suitable for worktops up to 900mm deep and will need to be cut to length for smaller tops with a hacksaw.

This in-line joining strip will suit 38mm - 40mm thick worktops that feature a flat face with a 3mm radius to the top and bottom edge profile. This cover trim will suit worktops up to 900mm deep, smaller worktops will require the trim to be cut to the desired length using a hacksaw. Install using plenty of silicone to seal any raw ends of the worktop to prevent water ingress, and secure the trim in place with countersunk wood screws at the hidden fixing locations.
