This 24 inch lift off strap hinge is a pattern 1055 hinge ideal for very heavy duty use on garage doors, gates, outbuilding doors, and utility doors. The hot spelter dipped galvanised finish will prevent corrosion for many years, and can be over-painted using and etching primer if required.

This hook & band hinge is manufactured from 5mm thick by 57mm (2.1/4") wide strap with an overall length of 62cm, and approximately 24 inches to the centre of the locating socket. The hook features a 16mm (5/8") diameter gudgeon pin with a projection of 65mm, the back plate is 57mm x 1635mm long.

The straight band when mounted on the gudgeon pin will have an overall length of 635mm and will be projected 16mm (5/8") from the mounting position on the gate post or frame. If all the mounting pins are up the gate or door can be lifted off, installing with one pin down will prevent removal.
