This premium UK quality sash window quadrant latch also known as an arm fastener from the Heritage collection in a superior lacquered brushed satin brass finish that provides contemporary look for traditional properties and architecture. This surface mount quadrant window catch was popular throughout the Georgian and Victorian periods and is a perfect choice for period properties and architecture.
This sash window thumb turn catch features a straight arm that pulls the windows together at the meeting rails. The rectangular mounting plate measures 67mm long by 20mm wide with 54mm off-set screw centres, the height to the pivot point is 18mm, the height to top of the handle is 29mm. The rectangular keep is 67mm long by 20mm wide with 54mm screw centres and a total height of 11mm.
Installation is surface mounted and easily fitted to timber windows with 4 fixing screws to ensure a dependable operation, and is supplied as a single set (1 catch) complete with slot head screws for a traditional authentic look.
PRO TIP: To ensure the best aesthetics and operation on wider windows, divide the bottom sash rail by four and fit two catches at the left and right divide, the distance between the two catches will be twice that from the side. Ensure the fasteners are located to ensure the windows lock and pull together. Use the spare hardened steel screw to ensure the drilled pilot holes will accept the brass screws with out deforming the heads (especially important in aged timber, oak, and other hardwood's).
