6" x 3/4" Inch Polished Black Nickel Flush Fitting Door Bolt
This premium UK quality lever action flush fitting door bolt from the Heritage collection in a superior polished black nickel finish that provides a modern contemporary look. The face fitting screw is hidden under the lever when in the locked position for a neat plush look.
This flush bolt is 153mm long by 20mm wide, the angled return plate is 34mm deep. The 11mm diameter bolt projection is 19mm with the bolt centre being 17mm from the front face. The keep is 35mm x 20mm, the bolt hole is 12mm in diameter, and the screw centres are 24mm.
Flush bolts are typically installed on the top and bottom leading edge of the slave door in French doors and double doors installations, they can also installed in the door face on single doors (40mm door or thicker) for added security.
This flush bolt will require a 28mm x 20mm recess to allow for the mechanism to operate freely, and is supplied complete with keep and colour matched screw fixings.
PRO TIP: Use a spare hardened steel screw to ensure the pilot holes are the correct size to prevent rounding off the fixing screw heads (especially important in oak and other hardwood doors). Make sure any bare wood exposed by cutting or machining is properly sealed with high quality solvent based paint or wood-stain to prevent any moisture ingress that may lead to associated issues.
