This Era BS8621:2004 Euro cylinder sashlock is supplied with a 6 pin Euro Cylinder and thumbturn for the inside of the door and features a 56mm backset, the case height is 109mm with a depth of 79mm, 23mm thick, and is supplied with a 26mm x 162mm polished chrome faceplate and a 30mm x 178mm silver enamel keep, with fixing screws.

This sashlock conforms to British Standard 8621:2007 which mirrors the BS 3621:2007 but for 'escape locks' and meets the tough strict requirements of insurance companies and the police. High-security and strength are delivered through the lock's 20mm deadbolt, made of hardened steel plates and rollers, it is designed to resist both drilling and sawing attacks. The supplied 6 pin cylinder is resistant against picking or drill attacks.

The easily reversible latch bolt enables both left and right-handed operation, the thumbturn allows easy exit with no need for a key, but the Euro cylinder keeps the door secure from the outside. Especially relevant for entrance doors in multi-residential and other buildings. It also ensures that it is possible to make an emergency escape in an event of a fire. This 35/35mm Euro cylinder can be keyed alike and masterkeyed.
